Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the most common pharmacological strategies and recently discovered medications for treatment of resistant depression and the evidence for their efficacy.
2. Identify the signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorders and recognize the key features for effective treatments including cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) and prolonged exposure.
3. Describe the different types of eating disorders and their treatments. Practice basic therapy skills used in enhanced CBT for eating disorders.
4. Recognize and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health for children and adolescents and describe ways of supporting youth in adjusting to stresses of the pandemic.
5. Describe common dilemmas and potential solutions in the treatment of substance use disorders.
6. Utilize case formulations to enrich treatment planning.
